Director of Accreditation
Jayne H. Weinberger, EdD is Director of Accreditation for the Commission on Opticianry Accreditation. She is former chair of the degree program in Ophthalmic Dispensing at ASA College in New York City. A past president of the National Federation of Opticianry Schools, she was named its Educator of the Year in 1997. Dr. Weinberger has been recognized by national and state organizations for her contributions to opticianry education. She served as Vice Chair of the State Board for Ophthalmic Dispensing for NY’s State Education Department, and as Chair of the Commission on Opticianry Accreditation for two separate terms. She is certified by the American Board of Opticianry, the National Contact Lens Examiners. and is licensed in the State of New York. Dr. Weinberger is an experienced on-site evaluator.
